Why is it so accepted that magnum condoms are huge?

There are different types of Magnum condoms. The regular ones are just slightly bigger than the standard condom, while Magnum XL's are even larger than that. "Magnum" is simply a series of condom sizes that are larger than standard sized condoms. But just because they are "magnums" doesn't mean that they are for HUGE penises. The average penis size is 5.5 - 6 inches. Magnum condoms are desiged for anything larger than 6 inches (but not necessarily huge). Magnum XL's are designed for "large" penises. Most people just hear the word "magnum" and assume it's for somebody who is hung.
