Why would my 1995 dakota v6 magnum stall out while driving ?

Ok so it doesn't do it all the time but its wearing my patience really thin it'll run great one day and then the next its like its possesed I mean it'll start right up and run but when I get on the gas it'll die out on me and takes forever to crank again. Please help its a daily family driver
