Dry fired my Ruger Air Magnum as the first shot out of the box, would there be any damage?

I accidentally dry fired my Ruger Air Magnum Pellet gun my first time ever using it. Would it have caused any damage (even slightly?) It said in the manual to not dry fire it.....but I got a little too excited and didn't read it first.
